Privacy
RealDeals stores as little as it can. This page says exactly what, and for how long.
What we store
- Username and an Argon2id hash of your password. Never the password itself.
- Your e-mail address, readable, because we have to send mail to it. Its verification status and time.
- Your numeric Telegram chat identifier when you link the bot. No phone number, ever.
- Your watchlist, lists, price targets and keyword watches, and the alerts we sent you.
- Server-side sessions: a hash of the session token, the IP address and browser string of the device, and when it was last seen.
- A security log: logins, failures, resets and admin actions, with the IP address.
- Preferences: language, currency, theme, notification switches.
What we do not store
Payment details, phone numbers, addresses, or anything about what you buy. Plain-text passwords, reset links or two-factor secrets are never written anywhere.
Cookies
One session cookie when you are logged in, and a cross-site request token on pages with forms. Without an account your currency and theme stay in your browser; with one, your language, currency and theme are saved to it. The list of your recent searches is kept only in this browser, not on our server or on an account. There is no tracking cookie and no advertising.
The Support links lead to Ko-fi, which handles contributions under its own privacy policy. Nothing from Ko-fi loads on RealDeals.
Analytics
Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and stores no personal identifier.
When you search All products, the words you searched for and the number of results are counted per day, with nothing that identifies you (no address, account or cookie), so we can improve the search. They are kept for 180 days.
How long
- Security log entries: 90 days.
- Verification and reset links: until used, or 24 hours and 30 minutes respectively.
- Sessions: 30 days idle, 180 days at most, deleted when revoked.
- Everything else: until you delete the account.
